Capetonians – these are your worst traffic hours
Capetonians who have to commute on a daily basis will know the frustrations of increased traffic congestion all too well. It really has become a nightmare, despite many companies taking the initiative to offer remote working opportunities for employees.
In a recent report compiled by TomTom – as part of the company’s annual traffic index – Cape Town was ranked 90th for the world’s worst traffic congestion.
Peak traffic hours for Cape Town were reported between 05:30 – 10:00 for weekday mornings, and between 15:00 – 18:00 for weekday afternoons.
So what can you do to decrease the frustration? If you’re unable to adjust your commuting times, you could opt for ride sharing opportunities with fellow colleagues.
