This is how to clean your car seats

And you only need four essential things to execute the task

Keeping your car seats clean is an important task, not just for hygienic reasons, but also to keep your car in tip-top condition (in case you ever want to sell it). However, a lot of people forget about this tiny detail. But, it’s actually really effortless and with a few simple products and some time you’ll have your car seats looking brand new.

Firstly, you will need the usual essentials – a vacuum cleaner, upholstery cleaner, cloth, brush and spot remover (if needed).

-Begin by vacuuming the surfaces of the seats to remove any loose dirt.

-Apply an upholstery cleaner to the surface of the seat. It works best to work in small sections.

-It’s important to identify any stained areas that will require extra cleaning as well as weak areas such as holes or thin fabric that should be cleaned with caution.

-Work the cleaner into the fabric with a stiff brush. Extra scrubbing will be required to removed stains and heavily soiled areas.

-For stains and soiled areas that do not come clean with the upholstery cleaner, apply a spot remover.

-Wipe any excess cleaner away with a clean, white, soft cloth. Rinse if needed, but many products don’t need to be rinsed and can be left to dry.

-If you did indeed rinse the seats, allow the seats to dry completely. Keep windows down until the seats are dry to avoid mold and mildew growth.

-If you have a carpet steam cleaners, many come with or have upholstery attachments available. These can be useful for cleaning car seats as well.
