Ndebele artist transforms BMW 7 Series

Esther Mahlangu’s passion for Ndebele art started when she was a little girl, when her parents would come home to find she’d painted the house. Inspired by her mother and grandmother, Esther continued to experiment with different painting styles, colours and images.

25 years ago she was the first woman to create artwork on the outside of a BMW 525i Sedan and now she’s joined forces with BMW again to paint the interior of a BMW 7 Series.

The BMW Art Car will be displayed to the public at the Frieze Art Fair (5 – 9 October 2016) in Regent’s Park, London, and will be offered for a silent auction.
