Durability testing is the process Ford cars goes through to ensure they are able to endure the world’s toughest driving conditions. Whether that’s the arid deserts of the Australian Outback or the sub-zero temperatures of northern China, vehicles are engineered to tackle various conditions without breaking a sweat.
Some of the tests include extreme temperatures, rivers of mud, the world’s worst potholes and deep-water wading to ensure ultimate resilience. During these tests, Ford cars are sent all around the world – to the most exotic and extreme destinations. This is to ensure that they can handle all kinds of terrain and climatic situations – no matter where you live!

To test a vehicle’s ability to withstand rust, every model of Ford car spends three months in a corrosion chamber – constantly being sprayed with salt water. These conditions – of around 95% humidity – are aimed towards simulating up to 10 years of wear and tear!
