Latest Smart car spied!
While we were on the topic of celebrities that drive Smart cars, as well as World Enviroment Day- we decided to take a sneak peak at the SmartTwo that is set to launch next year.
Although this little car is set to be unveiled in just two months, Smart engineers are still hard at work testing pre-production prototypes of the lilliputian car in different parts of the world. This one was caught climbing up the Alps. Despite the rather different design lines of its side, the upcoming Smart ForTwo will keep its length almost identical to the current generation, with the only major change in terms of exterior dimensions being its width, which will increase considerably. Smart say that the decision to increase the model’s width was taken in order for the car to offer better elbow room for the two passengers, while also giving it more stability during cornering.
Insiders have mentioned an exciting fact about the upcoming model. It’s said that the 2015 model’s turning radius should represent a world record, with just 7.50 meters required for it to turn in a single take. So if you have to drive around in the city and fit into those small spaces- choose Smart. As a driver you don’t see many Smart cars on SA roads, but we are sure will change.
