The difference between men and women drivers

How many times have you heard men use the derogatory phrase ‘Women drivers!’? Next time any man makes a critical remark while you’re driving, we recommend that you calmly recite these statistics*:

– The most aggressive drivers are young men between the ages of 17- 35 years old.

– Men are three-times quicker to honk the horn than women when drivers in front do not move on a green light.

– Female car crashes are more commonly based on slips or lapses while male car crashes are due to driving violations that tend to be more deliberate and risky. For example, speeding, non-seat belt use and drinking.

Perhaps most interestingly, an Australian study suggests that trotting out ‘bad woman driver’ stereotypes may actually cause women to drive worse than they would otherwise.

Now how is that for a bit of truth?
