Teslas are arguably the most desirable electric vehicles on the market, and it’s easy to see why. They’ve got one of the most advance autonomous driving systems around,  there are more Telsa charging stations available compared to any other EV makers, and with each model having a futuristic design, the vehicles are simply a joy to look at.

Now, it looks as though we might have the most stunning Telsa ever created, and surprisingly, the company had nothing to do with it. Ares Design, a Luxury Italian design house has showcased its years of coachbuilding skills by revealing a custom made, privately commissioned Tesla Model S Convertible.

To achieve this one-of-a-kind conversion, Ares Design engineers cut away the roof and removed the rear doors and the B-pillars to facilitate new, longer front doors, of which there are only two. Centro Stile designed a new rear bonnet allowing space to integrate the roof when stowed.

On the inside, the company’s upholstery and leather specialists upgraded the interior fitting custom-made rear seats while the finest hand-stitched ice white leather with orange detailing realised their client’s vision of a stylish interior finish.

To finish, designers added a splash of Italian style with the fitment of a sleek Ares designed carbon fibre aero kit.

According to Ares Design Co-founder and CEO Dany Bahar, “At ARES, our Co-create philosophy allows clients to work side by side with our designers and engineers to create their very own bespoke vehicle, a service that is unique to ARES. This Tesla project is a superb example of this; it was a pure coachbuilding project which we very much enjoy doing and seeing the results of our uncompromising standards.”
