The Mazda CX-30 is coming to South Africa in 2021

Its official: the Mazda CX-30 will be introduced to the South African market in February 2021. This comes after plans to bring the car to the local market in the first quarter of 2020 fell through following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mazda CX-30 was first unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2019. Plans to launch in South Africa were delayed on account of the COVID-19 pandemic but Mazda has confirmed that the car will launch locally in February 2021.

Pricing and local specification for the Mazda CX-30 have not yet been confirmed.

What we do know about the compact SUV is that it is designed to be a middleman between the brand’s CX-3 crossover and the CX-5 family car. It will have the same engine offerings and suspension as the new Mazda3.

It is 4, 395 m in length, making it 1,20 m longer than the CX-3 and 1,50 m shorter than the CX-5, reports Car Mag.
