Third-generation Nissan Qashqai to be revealed on February 18

Japanese automaker Nissan announced the reveal of its new Qashqai model would take place on February 18. The manufacturer teased the motor industry with fresh visuals that offer fleeting glimpses of the vehicle.

Nissan promised the third-generation SUV will be a pioneering crossover vehicle.

The Qashqai will “set a new standard for the segment with appealing design, advanced technology and dynamic driving,” said the manufacturer in a statement.

The Qashqai’s digital reveal will take place on the manufacturer’s Nissan Europe YouTube channel on Thursday, February 18.

Details about the vehicle’s specifications remain scant but it reportedly comes with two powertrain options, in Europe at least, according to CarMag. Under the bonnet sits a 1.3-litre petrol engine with 12V mild-hybrid, which is powered by Nissan’s latest e-Power drive system.

The cabin is equipped with a nine-inch touchscreen system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker Bose sound system and a 10.8-inch head-up display.
