Viglietti Motors gears up for Ferrari Fashion Showcase
The inaugural Ferrari Fashion Showcase is happening today in Johannesburg and the teams at Ferrari South Africa and KLûK CGDT are finalising the last few details of the fashion show that promises all the luxury, glamour and design excellence that one has come to expect from both the Ferrari and KLûK CGDT brands.
The Ferrari Fashion Showcase is the first of its kind for Ferrari in South Africa, and has been created by Viglietti Motors to express the couture of automotive design alongside some of South Africa’s leading fashion designers, drawing a link between the high-value fashion and supercar motoring worlds.
Celebrity models such as Lee-Ann Liebenberg and Vanessa Carreira will be attending the event, and the trendy trio BlackByrd will be performing. There will also be an exclusive viewing of the latest fashion ranges from Fabiani (men’s range) and KLûK CGDT -including two exclusively created Ferrari-inspired gowns – and of course the real showstoppers, the Ferrari F12berlinetta and 458 Spider.
Having exhibited at the Fashion Weeks of New York, Sweden, Russia, and of course South Africa, and being awarded ‘African Designer of the Year’ for two years running (2011 and 2012), the dynamic design duo of Malcolm KLûK and Christiaan Gabriel du Toit, under their fashion label KLûK CGDT, was the obvious fashion choice to partner with Ferrari for the Showcase.
The two one-of-a-kind gowns will appear on the runway beside two of Ferrari’s most celebrated vehicle designs, both of which are renowned for their power and design superiority, and celebrated for their aesthetic beauty – perfect for any fashion showcase.
