Check out the Citroën C1
The perfect city car? Citroën want it to be. The C1 is compact, nippy and weights just 840 kg. It will be available in both three-door and five-door versions as well as an open-top version called Airscape.
Making it even more desirable is that the new C1 is personalisable with its two-tone colour options. The convertible version is also two-tone.
You will be able to choose from three different drivetrain combinations. The first is an e-VTi 68 Airdream engine with a five-speed gearbox. Then the VTi 68 engine with an automatic transmission. And the top of the range unit will be the VTi 82 1,2-litre, three-cylinder engine delivering 61 kW and 118 N.m.
It’s not going to be your roadtripping car, even Citroën boasts that the aim of the C1 is to make the city its playground of choice, so don’t expect a big boot, which is a conservative 196 litres.
We will see the C1 in all its glory at the Geneva Motor Show in March but we can expect it in South Africa by the end of the year. Who wants one????
