As the officers approached, two men immediately fled the scene and ran towards Site C in Khayelitsha. The City’s director for policing and enforcement, Robbie Robberts, described the incident that took place in the early hours of Sunday.
Robberts went on to say that there were four people in the car and that when the officers reached the vehicle, the driver of the Audi had been stabbed three times in the chest. The other passengers had also been stabbed.
The four were immediately rushed to Khayelitsha Hospital for medical attention. The victims of this N2 Hell Run attack were also robbed of all their possessions.
The driver was forced to pull over after the Audi broke down and could have very easily been killed, had the police officers not been there.
